How do I order from your website?
Add the items to Cart and proceed to Checkout. You will be prompted to create an account with NUS Press but you can still make a purchase without an account. For ease of purchase, we recommend that you create an account with NUS Press.
I’m ordering in bulk. How do I go about doing this?
For bulk orders and corporate purchase, please email us at email@example.com.
I have ordered several titles including a pre-order. When will the books ship?
We will ship all pre-order titles as soon as they are published.
To minimise shipping charges, we will consolidate all the titles you have ordered before fulfilling the order. In other words, you will receive one shipment only.
If you prefer to receive the books as soon they are available, please order them separately.
Can I use multiple discount codes in one order?
No. You cannot "stack" discounts in an order. If you wish to optimise your savings, please create multiple orders instead.
Where is the discount code box?
If you are using a mobile device or tablet to shop, the discount code box will only appear AFTER you have keyed your billing information. We are working with the programmers to resolve this issue and we appreciate your understanding and tolerance in the matter.
What currency are the prices of the books based on?
All our prices are listed in Singapore dollars (SGD).
What payment methods do you accept?
We only accept PayPal payments for local and international orders currently.
Customers are automatically redirected to the secure PayPal payment page after Checkout. Log into your PayPal account to complete the purchase. If you do not have a PayPal account, you can also choose to pay with a debit or credit card via PayPal gateway.
You can use PayPal from almost anywhere in the world, benefiting from additional safety and speed for any refunds. For PayPal payments, general PayPal security terms apply.
Shipping address provided by the customer is taken to be accurate and final.
Shipping is calculated based on weight.
- Local orders are shipped by SingPost at SGD5 for packages below 2kg. Registered Article is available at an additional SGD3 for packages below 2kg. Packages between 2 and 5kg will be delivered via Speedpost Standard at SGD11.
- International orders are shipped by FedEx, using NUS Press preferential FedEx rates. We presently ship to more than 60 countries. If yours is not one of them, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will gladly assist.
Can I collect my order from your office?

Our opening hours from Monday to Friday are 9.00 am to 5.30 pm.
We are closed on weekends and public holidays.
A confirmation email for pick up will be sent to your purchase email after PayPal has confirmed receipt of your payment. Please do not collect if you have not received the email.
Please show the email as proof during collection. Your order has to be collected within two weeks to avoid a $5 late fee.
How long will my order take to reach me?
Your order will be shipped out within three working days after PayPal has confirmed receipt of your payment.
- Local delivery: 5 working days (SingPost estimation)
- International delivery: 6 to 9 working days, subject to custom clearance (FedEx estimation)
Shipping to my country is not available. Can I still order?
Yes. Please email us at email@example.com. We will advise the appropriate FedEx shipping fee.
There is no shipping option available when I tried to checkout. Can I still order?
Your order might have exceeded the weight limit for our flat-rate deliveries. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will advise the appropriate shipping fee.
Duties & Taxes
Do you charge Goods and Services Tax (GST)?
We currently do not charge GST.
Are duties and taxes charged for those living outside Singapore?
There are no duties and taxes added to your order. Any duties will be based on the custom law of your country. Customers are advised to check their country’s import tax limits. For example in Australia, you don’t need to pay tax or duties for purchases under AU$1,000. In Hong Kong there is no limit. Keep your purchases under such limits to avoid paying these extras.
Refunds & Exchanges
All sales made through NUS Press website are final. We do not entertain exchanges except for the following scenarios:
- Your books arrived damaged
- Wrong titles are delivered to you
- Wrong address supplied by NUS Press during shipment
- Insufficient stock
All claims must be made within seven days of receipt of your order.
I received a damaged book. What should I do?
We only allow exchanges when the books are:
- Badly dented, or
- Missing pages, or
- Misprinted pages
Please email us at email@example.com before undertaking a return. Quote your Order Number and the item(s) ordered in your email. We will advise you on the exchange process. Kindly note that any shipping charges for returns are to be bore fully by customers.
I have not received my order. What should I do?
Please check if:
- The shipping address you have supplied to NUS Press is correct, or
- The delivery service has attempted to make delivery to your shipping address when you were unavailable, or
- The local post office is holding your package for you to claim
We strongly encourage local customers to opt for SingPost Registered Article service for added security. FedEx tracking number for international shipping is provided in the shipping confirmation email. Please check with your local FedEx office on the delivery status.
Inaccurate fulfilment of orders
In the event that wrong titles are being supplied or titles are missed out in the shipment, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Quote your Order Number and the book(s) ordered in your email. We will advise you accordingly.
